Why do people get tattoos if they hurt?
I have six tattoos, and I can certainly say that each and every one of them hurt. Why do I keep getting tattoos? Why do I have tattoos planned that will cover the majority of my body? The reason behind this is simple: I enjoy my body being a walking canvas for art. I revel in having vivid colors and elaborate designs permanently inked upon my flesh. I like to think about the fact that someday, when I am an old woman, I will be colorful, both in spirit and in flesh. The pain of a tattoo is only temporary. The beauty is forever. I am willing to suffer the temporary pain in order to achieve my goal of being a walking canvas. |
